About me.
I am a photographer. I am a mother. I am a wife. I am a daughter. I have been a student, a child-minder, a veterinary nurse, a dog
walker. I have always been a photographer. I love photography. The click of the shutter. The flash of light. The capture of a smile.
The capture of the moment. I have always taken photographs. I always will. It is my passion. Portraiture is my speciality. To me
there is no better medium than photography to capture a subject in that moment in time and preserve the memory forever.
My objective is to capture the real person, to bring out the true personality in the portrait. To capture the sparkle in
the eyes, the cheeky grin, the freckles and the dimples is not enough. A good portrait should glimpse the soul.
My business.
I established my portraiture business Shot by Clare-Louise in 2012. I am based in Coolafancy, a small village
between Tinahely and Gorey, on the Wicklow/Wexford border. Contemporary portraiture captured in a
relaxed, casual environment is what I do best. I specialize in child and family portraiture, in studio or at a
preferred location. Portraits can be shot in your garden. I can turn your living room into a professional standard
studio. The choice is yours.

As well as the importance of capturing all the milestones of family life - your Newborn, his First
Birthday, her Communion, Confirmation, School Graduation, Debs, Eighteenth Birthday, College
Graduation, Twenty First Birthday, Wedding Anniversary - it is just as vital to catch your children when not in their Sunday best but in their favorite worn out T-shirt, their superman outfit, their old baseball cap, their princess dress. These are the memories that fade with time. Montessori and Play-school portraits are often overlooked. I also feel it is important to preserve the memory of our children's sporting and cultural achievements. Be it football, GAA, rugby, hockey, show jumping, tennis, ballet, theatre or musical, a professional portrait of your child in action will be cherished for a lifetime and beyond. A snapshot can catch the moment, a professional portrait should make it shine.
